Employment Information

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and track accounts payable and receivable, including tenant payments, lease agreements, and outstanding balances.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and cross-check invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding transactions, invoices, and billing discrepancies.
  • Invoice Management: Create, process, and verify invoices, ensuring all entries are accurate and properly documented.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and track organisational and property-related expenses, including budgeting and forecasting support.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Software Utilisation: Use internal accounting software to organise and maintain financial account information.
  • Account Inquiries: Handle account-related inquiries from internal teams, clients, and external vendors.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax, and perform internal audits on financial activities as necessary.

Requirements:
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is highly preferred. However, candidates who are in their professional stage of their ICAN certification exam are also encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience within real estate, property management, or a related industry is an advantage.
  • Adept computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Advanced math skills to keep accurate records and support the record-keeping of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills for maintaining clear, accurate, and meticulous financial records.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work well within a team;
  • Able to multitask across multiple accounts, invoices, and payments at various stages of execution
  • Efficient at resolving accounting issues quickly with minimal supervision.

Location: Abuja.

Remuneration: NGN 250,000-350,000. Monthly

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Onsite) - 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
