Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Bethioua, Oran, Algeria, specializing in construction sites, civil engineering, and architecture sectors. The ideal candidate will have between 1 to over 10 years of experience and hold a relevant degree ranging from a Bachelor's (LMD) to a Master's or higher. This position is open to both junior professionals and team leaders looking for a fixed-term contract or mission-based opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations related to construction projects and architectural activities.
Prepare financial statements, budgets, and reports in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial forecasting.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors when necessary.
Implement and maintain accounting controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Assist in payroll management and tax filings specific to the construction and BTP sectors.
Train and supervise junior accounting staff if applicable.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Engineering degree, or equivalent).
Proven experience ranging from 1 to over 10 years in accounting roles within construction, civil engineering, or architecture industries.
Strong knowledge of Algerian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with leadership skills for team leader positions.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
Good communication skills in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.
Flexibility to work on fixed-term contracts or mission-based assignments.
