Job & Company Description:
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the
design, development, and optimisation of automated control systems within a fast-paced industrial environment. You’ll play a key role in improving production efficiency, reducing downtime, and driving digital transformation initiatives.
This is a highly technical role where your expertise in automation will directly influence plant performance, process consistency, and operational scalability.
Education:
- BEng / BSc in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering
- Relevant certifications in PLC/SCADA systems (advantageous)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Strong experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
- Proven ability in SCADA systems and HMI development
- Experience with industrial automation, robotics, and process optimisation
- Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, and instrumentation
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
- Experience in commissioning, system upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart manufacturing (advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, mining, or heavy industrial environments
