Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of Velvet Lounge. The ideal candidate should be passionate about hospitality, customer experience, team leadership, and creating a lively yet relaxed environment for guests. The Bar Manager will supervise staff, manage stock and service standards, coordinate food and drink preparation, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily bar and lounge operations.
- Lead, train, schedule, and motivate bar and kitchen staff.
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Create and improve cocktail menus, drinks, and grill offerings.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing of beverages, food, and supplies.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of alcohol, food, and other inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor sales, cash handling, and daily financial reconciliations.
- Organize promotions, events, and entertainment nights to increase customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with licensing and operational regulations.
- Work closely with management to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar hospitality role.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and food service operations.
- Leadership and staff management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during late hours/weekends.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in stock control and basic financial reporting is an added advantage.
- Creativity in menu development and promotions is highly desirable.
