Benching Officer

Responsibilities:

• Installation of benching materials such as benching top, frames, rafters, partitions, and joists
• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing materials to suit the customer’s budget and style.
• Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals

Requirements:

• Minimum of an ND (Minimum of Second Class Upper or Upper Credit) in Woodwork or any related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in a laboratory environment, bench-related roles
• Good working knowledge of computers in general, with proficiency in the MS Office Suite
• Good communication skills – written & verbal
