Description:
Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Buyer to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for supporting procurement and purchasing activities to ensure the cost-effective, timely and compliant supply of goods and services to the operation.
Responsibilities:
- Procure goods and services in line with operational requirements, quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations and support cost-effective purchasing activities.
- Build and maintain effective supplier and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures and procurement standards.
- Coordinate purchasing administration, order processing and supplier communication.
- Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure continuity of operations.
- Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure adherence to SHERQ requirements and company procedures.
Requirements:- Grade 12
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- 3 years' experience as a Buyer within the mining industry
- Valid Driver's License
