A regional construction company based in Harare is urgently looking for a Carpenter who is ready to
start work immediately.
TITLE: Carpenter
Job Description:
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials with precision.
Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Assist in estimating materials and labor costs for projects.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines on the job site.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior carpenters and apprentices.
Skills Required:
Strong carpentry skills and experience in residential and commercial projects.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a carpenter (minimum 5 years preferred).
Relevant certification or apprenticeship in carpentry or a related field.
