Key
Responsibilities:
·
Manage and supervise all accounting functions,
including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed
assets & revenues.
·
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements in accordance with Ugandan Financial Reporting Standards (UFRS) and
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) where applicable.
·
Prepare monthly Group reporting packages for corporate
office reporting.
·
Ensure compliance with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)
requirements, including VAT, PAYE, withholding taxes, and statutory
contributions (NSSF, NHIF, etc.).
·
Develop and maintain internal financial controls and
procedures to safeguard company assets.
·
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process,
liaising with external auditors.
·
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to
support strategic decision-making.
·
Monitor cash flow, banking, and investment activities
to optimize financial performance.
·
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the
finance and accounting team.
·
Identify opportunities for process improvement and
implement best practices in accounting and finance.
·
Advise management on financial planning, risk
management, and regulatory changes affecting the organization.
Qualifications
& Experience:
·
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related
field (CPA Uganda or ACCA certification preferred).
·
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
·
Proficiency in accounting software.
·
Excellent analytical, organizational, and
communication skills.
