Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, dining areas, serving areas, and workstations.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and maintain floors according to the cleaning schedule.
- Clean tables, counters, chairs, appliances, and other surfaces.
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment where required.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste according to site procedures.
- Refill cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow all hygiene, food safety, and health and safety requirements.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
- Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Assist with ad-hoc cleaning and support duties as and when required.
Experience & Qualification- Matric will be advantageous.
- Previous cleaning experience in a canteen, kitchen, corporate, or food service environment will be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, hygiene procedures, and safe handling of cleaning equipment.
- Food safety awareness will be an added advantage.
- First Aid / Fire Fighting / OHS qualifications will be an added advantage.
