ROLE SUMMARY
The purpose of this role is to collect, clean, and interpret data to support business strategy and decision-making. The data sources include internal sales data as well as external data obtained from marketing intelligence agencies, price surveys, product surveys, and other relevant sources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify data requirements and acquire data from primary and secondary sources for reporting and descriptive analytics.
- Filter and clean data by reviewing datasets to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and outliers.
- Interpret data, analyze results using appropriate analytical techniques, and prepare regular reports.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Automate existing management reports to improve the speed and accuracy of converting raw data into actionable business insights.
- Monitor and analyze business performance against budget.
- Conduct product performance analysis.
- Conduct channel performance analysis by product.
- Conduct regional performance analysis by product.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the data warehouse.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases.
- Provide management with relevant data and insights to support business and information priorities.
- Support managers in analyzing relevant data to drive business improvement.
- Analyze data obtained from scientific and national conferences to identify trends, generate insights, and provide recommendations.
- Analyze data relating to retail pharmacy operations and provide actionable insights for business improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- An MBA in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis or business analytics.
- Proficient in data visualisation, story telling and trend analysis
- Proficiency in other data analysis
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools e.g., Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar applications.
- Strong report-writing and data presentation skills.
