Reporting to the Bakery Administrator & Sales Lead you shall have the responsibility to ensure safe and efficient dispatching, receiving, handling and distribution of products as per customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all products are delivered in the correct quantities and on the right time as per customer orders.
  • Keep records of daily log of all dispatch activities and ensure that documentation required is recorded accurately and is available to end users and management.
  • Expedite picking slips to Despatch Department and internal branch transfers.
  • Ensure that the finished product is correctly labelled, date coded and wrapped accordingly to the acceptable standard and "FIFO" (First in First Out) practice is adequately adhered to.
  • Sequence delivery schedules correctly according to the Sales Orders.
  • Undertake daily inspections of delivery vehicles before loading to ensure that the vehicles are in sound hygiene state to meet the Food Hygiene Standards.
  • Monitor and record stock returns from routes and repot irregularities immediately.
  • Spearhead the maintenance of safe loading and safe stacking standards.
  • Ensure high quality and good housekeeping standards are maintained at the Warehouse, Loading Bay, and Offices.
  • Facilitate Proper replacement and verification of damaged products.
  • Ensure daily controlling, monitoring, and managing of crates movements and reconciliations.
  • Work hand in hand with the crate controllers.
  • Participate in stock take activities to ensure accurate reconciliations of stock and figures.
  • Participate actively in the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs to contribute to company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Accounting/ Business Management/ Records Management or related.
  • Two (2) years post qualification experience in the FMCG and manufacturing industry, bakery and confectionery production and despatch will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Have basic numeracy skills.
  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Be observant and compliant.
  • Possess a valid Class B Drivers Licence (Class EC will be an added advantage)
