Qualified Diesel Mechanic – Sandton
A well-established company based in Sandton is seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 3+ years’ experience working on heavy vehicles and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related components
Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Replace and repair components including fuel pumps, filters, and turbochargers
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Attend to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when required
Work closely with the team to minimize downtime
Minimum Requirements
Trade-tested Diesel Mechanic qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience on trucks, trailers, or heavy vehicles
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work overtime and be on standby
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving ability
Positive attitude and a strong team player
Advantageous
Additional Diesel Mechanic certifications
Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
Background within a transport or logistics environment
