DIRECTOR INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT)
The Office of The Auditor General is seeking a highly skilled and results oriented Director Information Communication Technology responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and management of the Office’s technology infrastructure and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the organisation’s ICT strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and digital transformation goals.
Provide strategic leadership in adopting innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity resilience.
Direct ICT budgeting and investments, ensuring cost-effectiveness, value for money, and alignment with strategic priorities.
Provide leadership to ICT staff members, drive talent development, succession planning, and promote a culture of innovation and accountability.
Provide strategic oversight of ERP, audit systems, and enterprise applications, ensuring integration, scalability, and security.
Liaise with executive management, regulators, vendors, and technology partners to secure alignment and support for ICT initiatives.
Review ICT performance against KPIs, assess emerging risks and trends, and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Champion organisation-wide digital skills programmes, user adoption of new systems, and a culture of continuous learning.
Approve ICT roadmaps, architecture, and infrastructure modernisation initiatives, ensuring resilience and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s Degree (MBA, MSc ICT, Information Systems, or equivalent)
Bachelors of IT, Computer Science or any related discipline.
Professional Qualifications Certifications such as COBIT (Control Objectives for Information Technology), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), ISO/IEC 27001 (International Organisation for Standardisation), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)/CISM (Certified Information Systems Manager), PRINCE2 (Projects in controlled environments) /PMP (Project Management Professional)
10 years’ working experience in ICT, 5 of which should be at management level
