EMBROIDERY MACHINE OPERATOR (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

Embroidery machine operators in the clothing unit are responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the production of high-quality garments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an embroidery operator in the Clothing Industry
A Certificate/ Diploma in the Clothing industry is an added advantage

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

Setting up embroidery machines: Operators must ensure that the machines are properly configured for the specific embroidery project.
Loading patterns and materials: They load the correct patterns and materials onto the machines to create the desired designs.
Monitoring machine operations: Operators keep an eye on the machines to ensure they are running smoothly and to identify any issues that may arise.

Troubleshooting and maintaining machines: Regular maintenance and troubleshooting are essential to keep the machines in optimal condition for production.
Quality checks: Operators perform quality checks on the finished products to ensure they meet the required standards.
Collaborating with design and production teams: Operators work closely with design and production teams to meet project deadlines and ensure that all aspects of the production process are coordinated.
Maintaining accurate records: Operators keep detailed records of production quantities and materials used to track progress and inventory.
Adhering to safety protocols: Operators must follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
These duties require a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
