Employment Information

Requirements:

  • 3 – 8 years of proven professional cooking experience
  • Previous experience as a head chef, executive chef, or private household chef
  • Formal culinary training — culinary school, hotel, or catering programme
  • Must have worked in a professional kitchen — hotel, restaurant, or catering establishment
  • Strong command of both Ghanaian and continental cuisine
  • Proven experience managing grocery budgets, cost tracking, and reporting
  • Proficiency in healthy cooking methods: grilling, air-frying, steaming, oven-roasting
  • Commitment to cooking exclusively with fresh, natural ingredients — absolutely no bouillons, stock cubes, or artificial flavour enhancers
  • Meticulous kitchen hygiene, food safety, and organisation standards
  • Ability to supervise kitchen help and enforce cleaning standards independently
  • Full autonomy in kitchen management is stocking, equipment, purchasing decisions
  • Reliable, proactive, and confident operating without supervision
  • Strong verifiable references from a previous employer is mandatory
  • Healthy, nutritious yet tasty meals, pastries, starters and desserts.


Advantageous:

  • Experience cooking for high-net-worth families or senior executives
  • Experience preparing meals for children, including school packs
  • Creative plating and presentation skills to hotel standard
  • Familiarity with health-conscious and clean eating meal preparation


Remuneration:

  • GHS 2,500 minimum (negotiatble) per month, depending on experience.
  • Health cover and lunch provided.
