ROLE SUMMARY
- The Associate will be the primary representative of Tope Adebayo LP at the Abuja branch, responsible for managing client relationships, delivering high-quality legal services, and building the Firm's profile in the FCT. The role spans the full range of Corporate & Commercial and Dispute Resolution work, including legal advisory, corporate governance, company secretarial, regulatory compliance, transactional support, and advocacy before courts and regulatory authorities. The Associate will manage day-to-day branch operations and represent the Firm at external engagements, while collaborating closely with Partners and colleagues in Lagos on complex matters and transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
Qualifications
- LL. B Second Class Upper or above and B.L from the Nigerian Law School; additional qualifications LL. M, MBA, or professional certifications are an advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years' post-call experience in a recognised commercial law firm, with demonstrable competence across Corporate & Commercial and Dispute Resolution practice areas.
- Strong academic credentials and a verifiable track record of managing complex legal matters with limited supervision.
- Technical & Practice Skills
- Proven expertise in corporate law, commercial transactions, regulatory advisory, and civil/commercial litigation.
- Exceptional legal drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and analytical skills, with the ability to produce concise, precise, and commercially focused work.
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian legal and regulatory frameworks, including CAMA 2020, BOFIA, the Investments and Securities Act, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, and applicable sector regulations.
- Familiarity with Abuja-based courts, regulatory agencies, and professional networks is a significant advantage. etc
