Job Description & Responsibilities
As the Facilities Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager. You will hold full operational accountability for facility performance, mechanical/electrical infrastructure health, and service delivery across flagship assets.
Asset Lifecycle & Reliability: Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance schedules using CAFM/CMMS tech tools to ensure zero operational downtime.
Contract & Vendor Management: Supervise third-party vendors and internal teams delivering Hard (MEP) and Soft (Cleaning/Grounds) services.
Financial Management: Manage the facilities budget, optimize utility tracking, and implement cost-saving energy conservation measures.
HSEQ Compliance: Guarantee strict adherence to the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 2006 (Uganda) and international building standards.
Client Relations: Act as the primary technical point of contact for property owners, delivering flawless lifecycle asset reporting and KPI presentations.
Skill Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Economics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing high-end commercial, corporate, or hospitality facilities.
Hard Skills: Mastery of MEP systems (HVAC chillers, central distribution switchgear), building automation systems, and tech-driven maintenance software (CAFM).
Soft Skills & Traits: Elite leadership capability, sharp commercial acumen, structured problem-solving under pressure, and concise client reporting.
