Our client, a leading player within the
renewables and environmental sector, is seeking a highly skilled
Financial Controller to oversee and manage the full finance function across the Group.
This role offers exposure to multi-jurisdiction operations, complex intercompany structures, and high-impact financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Oversee transactional finance functions including cash, creditors, debtors, payroll, and fixed assets
- Ensure accuracy of financial records, reconciliations, and trial balances
- Manage treasury operations, cash flow, and banking relationships
- Prepare financial reporting, analysis, and operational KPIs for management and board reporting
- Perform consolidations, intercompany transactions, and variance analysis across entities
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and statutory requirements
- Lead audit processes and act as the primary contact for external auditors
- Identify process improvements, financial risks, and control gaps
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (essential)
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
Experience:- Minimum 3+ years post-articles experience in a similar role
- 3–5 years’ experience managing a team
- Exposure to multi-entity or cross-border environments (Africa experience advantageous)
- Experience in project, construction, or complex intercompany environments beneficial
Skills:- Strong financial and analytical capability
- Advanced Excel and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, Microsoft D365 advantageous)
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
