Chief Risk Officer - Finance and Reinsurance Markets Responsible for the leadership of the East and Central Africa Reinsurance Cluster, successful strategy execution and business growth within the portfolio and cluster.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and executes business strategies and plans for entry and growth in the region.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with key business partners, regulatory authorities, and reinsurers.
• Coordinates business development activities in the region to drive profitable growth and market share.
• Manages the teams operating in the region to ensure achievement of performance targets.
• Ensures compliance with all statutory and industry regulations applicable in the region.
• Prepares budgets, monitors performance, and reviews variance analysis for all operations.
• Provides strong leadership to the teams and manages talent.

Requirements

• Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years working experience, five of which should be in reinsurance or insurance at senior management level.
• MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory environment in East and Central Africa.
• Proven business leadership, financial, and strategic capability.
