RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Strategy and Leadership.
- Develop and implement the organisation’s marketing and brand strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Provide strategic leadership to the marketing department and guide long-term brand positioning.
- Identify new market opportunities and growth areas.
- Translate business strategy into actionable marketing plans.
Brand Management and Brand Positioning.- Oversee brand positioning, brand identity including the architecture and brand creative assets.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and stakeholders.
- Monitor and enhance brand equity through campaigns and initiatives.
Integrated Marketing Campaigns.- Data driven campaigns.
- Lead the planning and execution of local and international marketing campaigns.
- Drive the organization’s flagship programmes.
- Ensure campaigns promote South Africa’s competitiveness in sectors such as tourism, trade, and investment.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and marketing investments.
- Translate insights into data-driven marketing decisions.
Stakeholder and Partnership Management.- Build partnerships with media, brand marketing agencies, and international platforms.
- Align marketing messaging across government and private sector initiatives.
- Internal collaboration and alignment – cross functional teams.
Team Leadership & Coaching.- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team.
- Foster a high-performance culture and ensure alignment with organisational values.
- Performance of direct report.
Budget and Performance Management.- Develop and manage the marketing budget and ensure return on investment Track performance using KPIs and marketing analytics.
Reporting and Compliance.- Report on marketing impact to executive leadership and board structures.
- Comply with National Treasury/PFMA/King vi good governance.
