Our client, based in Paarl, is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to take up the role of General Manager to lead the business and management team.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong commercial, financial, and operational acumen, combined with excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. He/she should possess strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and suppliers. In addition, the candidate must be able to perform well under pressure and consistently meet business objectives.

Reporting to the shareholders, this role will be responsible for leading teams across departments to ensure efficient business functions and growth, from overseeing daily operations and processes to driving revenue growth, maximizing sales opportunities and developing business in new and existing markets.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): *Determining strategic business objectives and goals *Leading the management team including Finance, HR, Production, and Sales *Development of management team members *Managing all the customer front-end functions (Sales, Estimating, and CRM teams) *Overseeing all commercial aspects of the business *Developing and implementing strategies to expand the customer base and increase market share and profitability *Coordinating between production and quality control to ensure consistent product quality and customer lead times *Overseeing production planning and efficiency optimisation over various printing processes *Handling contractual negotiations *Overseeing procurement of raw materials *Building new and maintaining existing customer and supplier relationships *Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company procedures *Establishing and driving sales objectives through forecasting and strategic planning.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification required, a postgraduate qualification will be advantageous;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a business of similar nature, including experience in the label printing industry.
