Geotechnical Section Manager

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Geotechnical Section Manager to take ownership of a growing technical division responsible for delivering specialist solutions across mining, infrastructure, and multidisciplinary engineering projects. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership and commercial management skills.

Requirements:

•       BSc/BEng Civil Engineering or BSc Engineering Geology

•       Pr.Eng or Pr.Sci.Nat professional

•       Minimum of 10–15 years’ relevant experience with at least 3–5 years in a management role

•       Demonstrated success on mining and infrastructure projects within South Africa and the broader SADC region

•       Experience with software including PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience, Settle3, OpenGround, Leapfrog, ArcGIS/QGIS, and FLAC

•       Understanding of South African legislation, geotechnical standards, and quality management systems

•       Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities

•       Willingness to undertake regional travel as required
