Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in alignment with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum (English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, etc.).
- Develop and implement age-appropriate teaching materials, assessments, and learning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and prepare end-of-term reports.
- Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and enhance student learning.
- Encourage student-centered learning and the development of critical thinking, inquiry, and communication skills.
- Foster a positive classroom climate that supports student behavior, growth, and well-being.
- Integrate ICT tools and interactive teaching techniques into daily instruction.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow staff in planning cross-curricular activities and school events.
- Attend and contribute to school events, staff meetings, workshops, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
- Uphold and model the school’s values, policies, and safeguarding practices at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject area (with a teaching qualification).
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a Cambridge or international school setting.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a multicultural team.
- Familiarity with assessment for learning (AfL) strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Competence in the use of educational technology.
