Minimum Qualifications
Lodge Manager

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or related field.
Guide
  • Recognised Tourist Guide qualification.
  • Valid guiding certification and permits.
  • First Aid certificate and valid driver’s licence with PDP (where required).
 
Experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in hospitality or lodge management.
  • Previous guiding experience in a lodge, reserve, or safari environment.
  • Experience in guest relations and staff supervision.
 
Knowledge
  • Lodge and hospitality operations.
  • Wildlife, conservation, and tourism practices.
  • Health and safety regulations.
  • Customer service and guest experience management.
 
Skills
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Guiding and storytelling skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Organisational and administrative skills.
  • Computer literacy and reservation system knowledge.

Working Conditions
  • Live-in position at a lodge or game reserve.
