Handyman Electrician (C2) – Nyanga National Park
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates within the Authority to fill the above vacant post. The incumbent will report to the Senior Area Manager.
DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Inspect and Submit requirements for all electrical repairs and maintenance work,
Carry out repairs of all electrical fittings and appliances at tourist facilities, offices and staff accommodation,
Carry out routine checks of all electrical installations and appliances at the station,
Preparing bill of quantities for electrical projects,
Maintenance of all departmental assets/tools in the electrical workshop,
Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical power lighting and control systems in buildings,
Working with various tools including hand and power tool, conduit benders and testing instruments
Reporting all suspected defects to the Supervisor,
Liaising with Department of Public Works or ZESA for inspections on major renovations and new buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
5 Ordinary level Subjects.
Journeyman class 3 (Electrician),
Certificate in Electrical Installations or related qualification.
At least 1 year relevant experience,
