Employment Information

REQUIREMENT:
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Relevant Pastry / Culinary qualification
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in a luxury hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation
- Ability to create innovative menus and seasonal offerings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity
- Good organisational and stock control skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the pastry kitchen and daily operations
- Create and maintain high-end desserts, pastries, and baked goods
- Design and update dessert menus and offerings
- Ensure consistency in quality, presentation, and portion control
- Manage stock, ordering, and ingredient sourcing
- Train and develop pastry team members
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning
- Ensure efficient kitchen workflow and production planning
PACKAGE:
- R20 000 Negotiable (DOE)
