The Head of Sales and Branch Operations, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, will assist in the management of effective micro-finance programs through the building and co-ordination of dynamic teams of staff- particularly credit, implementing the commercial strategy and promoting the products and services of the Institution
Key Responsibilities
Assist the CEO in developing the Business Plan (in collaboration with the Head Finance and Administration
Provide leadership in integration with World Vision and ensure social performance
Ensure that performance targets and indicators per business plan of the Institution are met and that they are in line with micro-finance standards.
Coordinate network development and monitor branch activities
Ensure efficiency and optimization of network activities and processes in terms of organization, profitability, and security
Safeguard the quality of the credit portfolio.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and updates of products, services, and procedures
Ensure field staff are trained, equipped, and motivated to achieve objectives
Ensure regular review and update of credit policies and operational guidelines.
Consolidate and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial, portfolio and impact reports from all branches and implement appropriate actions to ensure these indicators are consistently within Institutionally acceptable limits.
Ensure systematic follow up on issues and challenges arising from branches.
Ensure that the Institution is competitive both locally and within micro-finance programs in product and service delivery, impact and customer satisfaction.
Submit regular and timely reports to all stakeholders.
Be actively involved in all spiritual activities of the Institution.
Knowledge, Skills and Capabilities
6–8 years of experience in microfinance or banking
Minimum Bachelor +4/5 in economics, management, finance, or banking
Solid experience in operations management and/or commercial activities (microfinance/banking)
Knowledge of standard software and microfinance/banking operations management applications (credit/savings); knowledge of the T24 software would be an asset
Proven ability to build and manage a team, including regional managers and their respective teams
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and leverage economic and commercial performance indicators
Excellent knowledge of microfinance regulations in Ghana

Rigor in following procedures and demanding in controls
Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
Demonstrate a good team spirit; team building and problem-solving skills
Should have a good track record of integrity, conduct and firm with controls

Experience of good public relations skills and ability to relate well with people from diverse backgrounds
Travel and Work Arrangements
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Akan
