About the Role
- We are seeking a highly driven Growth Associate to support business development, partnership expansion, and revenue growth initiatives across our pharmacy benefits and healthcare solutions business. The ideal candidate has experience working within pharmacy benefits, health insurance, managed care, healthcare technology, or pharmaceutical distribution environments and understands the complexities of payer-provider-pharmacy relationships.
- This role will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic partnerships, supporting client acquisition efforts, and driving market expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across HMOs, employers, healthcare providers, pharmacy networks, and corporate clients.
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospective partners and customers.
- Support contract negotiations and partnership onboarding processes.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities within the healthcare ecosystem.
Pharmacy Benefits & Healthcare Strategy
- Leverage knowledge of pharmacy benefit management PBM, claims processing, formulary management, medication access, and healthcare financing to support commercial strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop value propositions for healthcare payers, employers, and provider organizations.
- Analyze utilization, claims, and pharmacy spending trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved patient outcomes.
Partnership Management
- Build and maintain relationships with health insurers, healthcare providers, pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and corporate clients.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and support strategic account growth initiatives.
- Track partnership performance and identify opportunities for expansion.
Sales & Commercial Support
- Prepare presentations, proposals, commercial models, and business cases for prospective clients.
- Support sales meetings, client negotiations, and contract renewals.
- Maintain CRM records and monitor key business development metrics.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor growth KPIs, partnership performance, and revenue targets.
- Generate insights and recommendations to improve customer acquisition, retention, and market penetration.
- Prepare management reports and growth forecasts.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Economics, Public Health, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in pharmacy benefits, managed care, health insurance, healthcare consulting, healthcare technology, pharmaceutical distribution, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit management, healthcare financing, claims administration, and medication access programs.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or growth functions.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience working with HMOs, TPAs, PBMs, healthcare providers, or pharmacy networks.
- Knowledge of healthcare claims data, utilization management, and cost-containment strategies.
- Experience in digital health, healthtech, or healthcare marketplace businesses.
- MBA, PharmD, or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
