Pre-start safety checks: Inspect crane, hydraulics, ropes, outriggers and complete the daily logbook.
Safe site set-up: Assess ground, clear overhead power lines, deploy outriggers with pads and barricade slew zone
Load handling: Lift and place materials safely without risk to people or property.
Legal compliance: Operate within the OHS Act and Driven Machinery Regs.
Communication: Work with Banksman / Riggers using hand signals or radio.
Documentation: Update crane logbook, report incidents and near misses.
Experience & Qualification
Valid code C1 / EC driver’s licence
HIAB Crane Operator Certificate.
3-5 years’ relevant work experience.
Rigging and Slinging Certificate – Advantageous.
