WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a growing technology consulting business to recruit an experienced Intermediate Business Analyst. This role is ideal for a business analyst who enjoys bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional specifications that drive successful project outcomes.
About the Role
As an Intermediate Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business needs, eliciting and documenting requirements, analysing data, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure that business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and implemented successfully.
This role requires a strong combination of analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, documentation expertise, and process improvement capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications
- Facilitate requirements elicitation workshops and stakeholder discussions
- Create business process maps, workflows, use cases, and process diagrams
- Track and document changes to business and functional processes
- Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making
- Support system analysis and solution design activities
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful implementation of requirements
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency
- Conduct research and analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timelines
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the business
What You’ll Bring
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Business Analysis Certification or Certificate of Proficiency as a Business Analyst
- 3–5 years of Business Analysis experience
- Experience within software development, software licensing, or professional services environments
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Experience with data analysis and process mapping
- Knowledge of system analysis and design principles
- Familiarity with databases and data visualisation tools
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking ability
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Nice to Have
- Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
- Diploma in Business Analysis
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification
- Project management exposure
- Experience working within consulting environments
