Our client is seeking to hire an Intermediate Project Manager to lead and coordinate Point-of-Sale (POS) development projects within a fast-paced fintech environment.

The role focuses on managing cross-functional teams, driving Agile (Kanban) delivery, and ensuring clear and structured documentation of business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of POS development projects.
  • Maintain and manage Kanban workflows and JIRA boards.
  • Coordinate planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of BRS and SOW documentation.
  • Engage with stakeholders and provide regular project updates.
  • Manage and support a team of Business Analysts and a Junior Project Manager Identify and resolve risks, issues, and delivery blockers.

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban.
  • Advanced proficiency in JIRA (boards, workflows, reporting).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Leadership and team management capability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong accountability, ownership, and professional integrity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–7 years’ experience in project management within software or POS development environments.
  • Proven experience managing Agile/Kanban delivery projects.
  • Experience managing small teams or delivery squads.
  • Strong experience within fintech, payments, or technology-driven environments (advantageous).
  • Experience in POS or retail systems is advantageous.
  • Exposure to payments, integrations, or transactional systems is advantageous.
  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is advantageous. ‘
