Description

  • An Inventory Officer manages the receiving, storage, dispatch, and tracking of goods.
  • They maintain accurate stock records, optimize warehouse space, and work with procurement teams to prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and ensure smooth, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Tracking & Record Keeping: Maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive inventory database, tracking items from arrival to dispatch.
  • Receiving & Quality Control: Inspect incoming shipments to verify quantities, quality, and condition against purchase orders, and report any damages.
  • Audits & Reconciliations: Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts. Identify discrepancies and reconcile them with system records to detect and prevent theft or loss.
  • Reorder & Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and collaborate with procurement teams to trigger timely reorders.
  • Storage & Organization: Label and tag items correctly and organize storage spaces to maximize accessibility and safety.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management regarding stock balances, aging analysis, and inventory turnover.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 6 years experience.
