IT Technical Officer

Job description

IQUBE Zambia Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced IT Technical Officer to support and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure across its retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, configure and maintain computers, servers, printers and other IT equipment.

* Install, monitor and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVRs and DVRs.

* Configure and support LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches and firewalls.

* Provide technical support for point-of-sale systems and retail applications.

* Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet and connectivity problems.

* Perform system backups, upgrades and preventive maintenance.

* Monitor network and CCTV system performance across company locations.

* Maintain accurate IT equipment inventories and technical documentation.

* Support users remotely and physically at different sites.

* Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.

* Minimum of three years’ relevant IT experience in a retail environment.

* Practical experience with CCTV systems, computer networking and hardware maintenance.

* Knowledge of Windows operating systems, servers, Microsoft Office and remote-support applications.

* Experience supporting point-of-sale systems will be an added advantage.

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and travel to different company locations when required.

* Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to technical incidents.
