Job Summary

  • The responsibilities include the main General and Special responsibilities listed below. In addition, the OIM or any superior may assign any other tasks to be performed.

Key Responsibilties

General Responsibilities:

  • To assist Process Supervisor with all operations and maintenance related to WHT Platforms.
  • To carry out operations and maintenance duties safely and professionally in accordance to Yinson Production HSEQ system.
  • Ensure that the platforms are operating in a safe condition and report any irregularities.
  • Planning and supervising of work performed by WHT Maintenance men.
  • Cooperate with WHT Electrician
  • Keeps close cooperation with CNR client technical personnel

Special Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance of platforms, especially :
    • Handling of AMOS computer system/part of system related to WHT
    • Stock in/out inventory
    • Mechanical checks and repair of machinery incl. Cranes
    • Chemical skid
    • Nitrogen system
    • Pigging stations
    • AC systems
    • HP and LP pumps
    • Cranes
  • Take samples for lab analysis.
  • Operating of cranes and derricks. At present only main crane on platform CSP-C.
  • Perform pig launching/receiving operation.
  • Perform safely chemical transfers and adjustment of chemicals flow rates if necessary.
  • Executes the maintenance and operations tasks given by PSUP
  • Perform the preparation, isolation & de-isolation of equipment during maintenance interventions.
  • Assist/or perform the shutdown and start-up of platforms equipment and relevant utilities.
  • Inspect the safety equipment and reports any anomaly.
  • Executes the required work according to issued work permits.
  • Assists any member of the team in cases of necessity.
  • Ensure the work is performed in a safe condition and report hazardous conditions without delay to the responsible WHT CNR Supervisor.
  • Keep WHT team and their work environment safe and clean.
  • Familiar with the safety shut-down system and know the necessary actions to be taken in the event of alarms / shut-down situations i.e. PSD, ESD, fire and gas alarm.
  • Familiar with the PTW System
  • To be fully familiar with regulations and work procedures applicable to the task to be executed.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping

Certificates and Training:

  • Officer in Charge of an engineering watch certificate, STCW95 – Ref. III/1
  • For other certificates and training, see Company Training Matrix, Unit Specific Training Matrix and CBT Matrix

Qualifications and Experience

  • Have completed combined workshop skills training and an approved seagoing service of not less than 12 months as part of an approved training programme which includes on-board training that meets the requirement of section A-III/1 of the STCW Code and is documented in an approved training record book, or otherwise have completed combined workshop skills training and an approved seagoing service of not less than 36 months of which not less than 30 months shall be seagoing service in the engine department;
  • Have performed, during the required seagoing service, engine room watch-keeping duties under the supervision of the chief engineer or a qualified engineer officer for a period of not less than 6 months.
  • Have completed approved education and training and meet the standards of competence specified in section A-III/1 of the STCW code and
  • Meet the standard of competence specified in section A-VI/1 paragraph 2, section A-VI/2 paragraphs 1 to 4, section A-VI/3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and section A-VI/4 paragraphs 1 to 3 of the STCW Code
  • Very good English written and spoken.
