Key Account Manager – Payments Industry

Location: Linbro Park, Johannesburg

We are looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to manage and nurture relationships with major clients. This role requires strong commercial acumen, the ability to understand client needs, and a focus on delivering tailored solutions that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients at both operational and strategic levels

• Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and timely resolution of needs

• Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets

• Drive quarterly review sessions and monitor client performance

• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, including emerging technologies

• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profitability

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions

• Forecast and track account metrics, providing regular reports

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field

• 5–8 years of experience in Key Account Management or similar sales roles

• Background in the Banking/Payments industry advantageous

• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite
