REPORTING
The candidate will report to the Group Legal Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide legal advice on land acquisition, property development, and real estate investments.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements, and development agreements.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on land titles and property transactions.
  • Oversee conveyancing processes including transfers, charges, discharges, and registration of property interests.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Kenyan land and real estate laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities, land registries, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare periodic legal reports and updates for management.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university.
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in real estate, property law, or conveyancing.
  • Confirmed experience in real estate development projects.

KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Strong organizational and methodological skills with the ability to manage multiple legal matters efficiently.
  • Ability to prepare clear and structured legal documentation and reports.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili is required; French is an added advantage.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suites: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

WORKING HOURS
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
