A-Star and Beifa Africa is a dynamic group of companies specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of premium stationery products in Nigeria, including pencils, pens, markers, cellotapes, craft tools, and other African-focused items.
In line with our current corporate objectives, we are seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and proactive Female Legal Officer to manage our legal operations and safeguard our business interests at our Ogun State office.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and Non-Disclosure Agreements NDAs.
- Corporate Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all local corporate laws, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Advisory Support: Provide sound legal advice on day-to-day business operations, corporate transactions, and governance matters.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes efficiently and coordinate with external legal counsel when litigation or specialized representation is required.
- Secretarial & Secretariat Duties: Maintain accurate corporate records, support the planning of board meetings, and handle regulatory filings.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential legal risks across business units and implement effective mitigation measures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Laws LL.B. and subsequent Call to the Nigerian Bar B.L..
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of post-call experience in corporate law, commercial litigation, or an in-house legal department.
- Skills: Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and risk-assessment skills.
- Location: Must be residing in or willing to work in Ogun State.
