Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations at our facility.
- The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, repair and upkeep of all property, including machines, mechanical systems, buildings, heating and air-conditioning and other structures.
Responsibilities
- Develop a Planned Preventive Maintenance PPM schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan for missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively.
- Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management.
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize maintenance processes without disrupting operations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
- Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works
- Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the site.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management. An MBA or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant post-graduation experience.
- At least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and mechanical utilities.
- Strategic thinking and strong execution skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems CMMS is an advantage.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
- Good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
