Job
Summary
The Masseuse / Sports Massage
Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage therapy and
wellness services to members, guests, athletes, and clients of the sports
centre. The role focuses on relaxation, recovery, injury prevention support,
and overall client wellbeing while maintaining high standards of hygiene,
professionalism, and customer service.
Key
Responsibilities
Massage
& Therapy Services
- Provide professional massage
therapy services including:
- Sports massage
- Deep tissue massage
- Swedish massage
- Relaxation massage
- Reflexology massage
- Recovery and stretching
sessions
- Assess client needs and
recommend appropriate treatments.
- Support athletes and gym users
with muscle recovery and relaxation.
- Maintain client comfort,
privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Monitor clients during sessions
and adjust techniques where necessary.
Client
Care & Customer Service
- Welcome and attend to clients
professionally and courteously.
- Explain treatment procedures
and aftercare recommendations.
- Maintain accurate appointment
and treatment records.
- Handle client inquiries and
bookings professionally.
- Promote wellness packages and
related services offered by the sports centre.
Hygiene
& Safety
- Ensure massage room and
equipment are clean, sanitized, and well maintained.
- Follow all hygiene, health, and
safety standards.
- Ensure towels, oils, creams,
and therapy supplies are adequately stocked.
- Report faulty equipment or
maintenance concerns promptly.
Administrative
Duties
- Maintain daily treatment logs
and schedules.
- Assist in inventory management
of wellness supplies.
- Coordinate with reception and
management on bookings and client feedback.
Qualifications
& Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in
Massage Therapy, Beauty Therapy, Physiotherapy Assistance, or related
field.
- Additional certification in
Sports Massage Therapy is an added advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience
in a spa, gym, wellness centre, hotel, or sports facility.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and
muscle recovery techniques.
- Good interpersonal and
communication skills.
- Professional appearance and
conduct.
- Ability to work flexible hours
including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
