ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Engineer/Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and operational efficiency of mechanical systems within our manufacturing facility. The successful candidates will carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and ensure machine reliability in line with production requirements and regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the planning and execution of mechanical maintenance strategy for critical manufacturing equipment and utilities.
- Participate in the installation, qualification, and lifecycle management of mechanical assets in accordance with cGMP, WHO and NAFDAC standards.
- Monitor and maintain mechanical systems including HVAC, compressors, pumps, and conveyors.
- Perform root cause analysis on mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure preventive maintenance routines are executed and properly documented.
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and validation activities.
- Maintain mechanical documentation, including logs, drawings, and SOPs.
- Ensure mechanical systems comply with safety and GMP standards.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to reduce downtime.
- Interface with validation, production, and quality assurance teams during equipment commissioning, performance qualification PQ, and requalification.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma/OND/B.Eng./HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing production environment.
- NABTEB.
- Trade Test 1,2 & 3

- Hands-on experience with routine and emergency maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of GMP, safety, and quality standards.
