Merchandiser Assistant

Employment Information

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the merchandising team with order processing and customer requirements
  • Liaise with production, procurement, and sales departments to ensure smooth workflow
  • Track orders, deliveries, and production timelines
  • Prepare quotations, purchase orders, and merchandising documentation
  • Coordinate fabric, trims, branding, and garment specifications
  • Follow up on customer queries, amendments, and approvals
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, samples, and product information
  • Assist with planning and monitoring production schedules
  • Support with costing, range development, and product administration
  • Ensure all orders are aligned with quality and delivery standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a merchandising, clothing, textile, or manufacturing support role advantageous
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and suppliers professionally
  • Computer literate with good Excel and administrative skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of garments, fabrics, trims, or production processes advantageous
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Remuneration

R10 000 - R12 000 CTC
