Job & Company Description: A well-established and innovative organisation within the life sciences industry is seeking an Operations Accountant to join their finance team based in Johannesburg North.
This opportunity is ideal for a BCom-qualified finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and contributing to the financial efficiency of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing valuable financial insights to assist with business decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end reporting processes
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Monitor operational costs and provide financial insights to management
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
Assist with inventory and operational accounting processes where applicable
Support audit requirements and preparation of supporting documentation
Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial performance and efficiencies
Assist with ad hoc financial and operational reporting requirements
Job Experience & Qualifications:
BCom degree essential
Experience within a finance or accounting role
Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
Exposure to month-end and year-end processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
