Role Overview: An excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven Operational Stock Controller to join a prestigious private game reserve in the Sabi Sands. This role is responsible for full stock control, inventory accuracy, purchasing support, and operational supply management within a luxury hospitality environment. ? Key Responsibilities: ? Stock Control & Inventory Management • Manage and oversee stock count processes across all operational inventories • Capture stock counts and inventory data accurately onto systems • Conduct regular spot checks and weekly stock takes • Monitor stock rotation, including fridge and perishable control • Investigate and report stock variances ? Purchasing & Supply Chain • Place orders based on par levels and operational requirements • Manage purchasing for equipment, services, and supplies • Verify deliveries against purchase orders for accuracy and completeness • Track all incoming deliveries and ensure proper receipt and documentation • Prevent overstocking and unnecessary procurement ? Reporting & Administration • Compile accurate stock and inventory reports • Audit stock holding areas for compliance and accuracy • Maintain up-to-date records of inventory balances and movements • Report directly to the Finance Administrator ? Operational Support & Compliance • Oversee stock issued across operational departments • Ensure adherence to stock control procedures and standards • Support efficient and cost-effective operational supply management • Uphold the reserve’s conservation ethos and operational excellence ? Skills & Experience: • Minimum 2 years’ experience in stock control, receiving, or similar role • Matric / High school qualification required • Tertiary qualification in business or related field advantageous • Strong MS Office skills (Advanced Excel essential) • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy levels • Strong organisational and analytical ability • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work across multiple departments • Physically fit and able to handle operational demands • Valid driver’s licence essential ?
