- The
Parts Advisor is responsible to attend parts request and to ensure that the
correct part is obtained the first time. This includes identifying correct
parts and locating them in inventory or ordering the requested part.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Look up and prepare parts
quotation by utilizing several parts catalogs to find details, price &
availability of parts.
- Process quotations and
assist service advisors with estimates for unavailable parts and ordering
non-available parts as needed.
- Provide Technicians with
necessary parts with minimal wait time; send parts pre-picking list (e.g.,
when customer is coming in for recall part or scheduled service interval).
- Calculate pricing/ estimations for parts.
- Once quotations have been approved ensure parts
have been reserved accordingly.
- Note which stock is running low and order
replacement stock in good time.
- Follow up on special parts of grounded vehicles and notify
technicians when received.
- Review orders for reserved parts on a weekly basis.
- Prepare pre-picking list and perform
picking of required parts.
- Help in the identification of parts.
- Supervise delivery and order
oil/grease.
- Provide operatives with necessary
tools.
- Perform return of unused parts to the
warehouse.
- In case of urgency liaise with the
Procurement to look up for parts locally.
- Liaise with the Procurement for ETA
and notify service advisors accordingly.
- Study knowledge of all parts products and services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Min HSC
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience and/or equivalent combination of
education
- Knowledge of automotive industry and parts is essential
