Passenger Vehicle Bookkeeper - JHB Southern Suburbs

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accurate financial records up to trial balance
• Manage daily cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
• Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts
• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures
• Prepare journals and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintain accurate vehicle stock and floorplan reconciliations where applicable
• Process salary-related information and support payroll administration
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and audit preparation
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and external accountants when required
• Maintain accurate filing systems and financial documentation

• Minimum 3–5 years’ bookkeeping experience within a franchised passenger vehicle dealership environment
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
• Experience working up to trial balance
• Strong understanding of dealership accounting processes and procedures
• Experience with automotive dealer management systems will be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Valid driver’s licence
• Clear criminal and credit record
