Job Purpose
The Porter will be responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests upon arrival, assisting with luggage handling, maintaining the cleanliness of front office areas, and ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Sevice
- Welcome guests upon arrival and inform relevant departments of guest arrivals.
- Open vehicle doors for guests upon arrival at the hotel.
Luggage Handling
- Unload guests' luggage from vehicles and attach luggage tags for identification.
- Escort guests to their rooms and deliver luggage promptly.
- Collect and transport luggage from guest rooms upon departure.
- Maintain accurate records of all luggage and items stored in the luggage room.
- Assist guests with luggage during their stay, including room changes and special requests.
Materials & Equipment Handling
- Ensure luggage trolleys are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the lobby area and luggage room at all times.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment to the relevant department.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest service is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Physically fit and able to handle luggage safely.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
