Applications are invited from competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions that have arisen within the organisation.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER- (GRADE 4)
The incumbent will report to the Postmaster General and will be responsible for the following among other duties: –
Developing strategies, policies and procedures which are aligned to the existing procurement laws and regulations.
Formulating procurement plans, procurement returns and other procurement related reports.
Searching and evaluating supplier performance for competitive suppliers who provide on-time and in-full delivery of procurement items.
Managing bidding processes and ensuring that bidding documents are in compliance with provisions of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23).
Liaise with PRAZ on relevant procurement matters
Assessing modern trends and market dynamics and giving necessary recommendations in relation to procurement strategies.
Documentation and record keeping of all procurement proceedings
Identifying, building and maintaining long term win-win relationships with key suppliers.
Managing procurement contracts.
Advising the Postmaster General on all critical procurement matters.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Purchasing and Supply/Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
Masters in Procurement, MBA, MBL or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply or CIPS (Chartered Institute
of Purchasing and Supply) certification will be an added advantage.
5 years relevant working experience, 2 of which should be at supervisory level.
