Procurement Officer

The Ghana National Association of Teachers invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians who are goal-oriented, results-driven with good leadership qualities and enthusiasm for appointment to the following position: Procurement Officer
Job Purpose : To ensure the efficient, transparent, and cost-effective procurement of goods, services, and works for the Association in compliance with procurement policies, financial regulations, and organizational objectives.

• Develop and implement annual procurement plans in line with organizational needs and budgets
• Prepare and issues RFQs, RFPs and invitations to tender
• Maintain transparent, competitive and compliant procurement processes
• Identify, evaluate and pre-quality suppliers and service providers
• Draft, review and manage procurement contracts and service level agreements
• Ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Act, internal policies and donor requirements (where applicable)
• Maintain accurate documentation for audit and regulatory review
• Maintain updated supplier database and vendor performance records
• Maintain procurement registers, tender documents and contract files
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field
• Professional certification, such as CIPs or an equivalent qualification, is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant procurement experience
• Knowledge of procurement laws and procedures in Ghana
• Experience in a unionized or non-profit organization is an advantage
