The Opportunity
The Global SRHR Alliance is launching a flagship pilot programme across eight countries in East Africa, West Africa, and the MENA region. This initiative, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to expand access to quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, particularly in conflict-affected and underserved communities.
The Project Manager - SRH Alliance leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of a multi-partner SRH programme in Ethiopia, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2026–2028). The role ensures high-quality implementation of interventions that improve access to inclusive, quality SRH services (3AQ), address harmful social norms, and strengthen health systems, particularly in hard-to-reach and conflict-affected areas.
The position also oversees partnership management, financial performance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, while promoting gender equality, inclusion, and evidence-based programming.
Key Accountabilities Include;
Programme Planning, Implementation & Reporting (60%)
- Lead overall programme delivery and coordination in Ethiopia
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle (planning, implementation, reporting)
- Provide technical SRH guidance and ensure quality implementation
- Coordinate Alliance partners and governance structures
- Ensure effective communication, collaboration, and representation
- Oversee financial management, compliance, and reporting
- Manage risks and lead the project team
Quality, MERL & Mainstreaming (20%)
- Strengthen MERL systems and promote evidence-based programming
- Ensure data collection, reporting, and documentation
- Support learning, research, and knowledge sharing
- Mainstream gender equality, inclusion, climate, and youth participation
- Align programme with policies and strategic frameworks
Partner Development & Strengthening (20%)
- Provide capacity building and support to partners
- Ensure partnership compliance and coordination
- Facilitate joint reviews and collaboration platforms
- Identify capacity gaps and strengthen partnerships
- Build linkages with research and technical institutions
Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
- Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
- Ensures that the team members under supervision are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
- Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.
- Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
