Job Responsibilities: 

Elimination of waste:

  • Ensure QCB/TQM boards are adequately updated.
  • Manage quarantine store stock with the goal to reduce its inventory as per the QCB/TQM boards daily.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is present on the line, implemented and operational staff are trained.
  • Administration of dispositions & deviations.
  • Conduct sort and prevent parts outflow to Customer where quality concerns are raised.
  • Isolate and identify all defective and incomplete parts and store in Quarantine area.
  • Ensure all 1ST OFF/IN Processes and Last OFF processes are conducted to the required standard, are timeously signed off and available on the line.
  • Ensure all calibration is up to date.
Quality:
  • Ensure Quality Standards are defined, displayed, and adhered too.
  • Supplier quality management & customer quality support.
  • Conduct in process checks in accordance to defined standards.
  • Facilitate containment when quality concerns are raised (Internal and external concerns).
  • Implement & uphold quality standards to reduce defects within the plant as per targets defined by the TQM board.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Manage A3 problem solving activity to eliminate waste & improve production within areas of control.
  • Reporting of Actions taken at daily FRP meetings.
5S, Safety Health & Environmental:
  • Practice & improve 5S according to 5S Audit Sheet.
  • Promote 5S condition in affected working areas as well as common work areas as allocated.
  • Monitor status of stock identification.
  • Ensure PPE is worn according to work standards.
  • Check work area for any unsafe working, health, and environmental conditions.
  • Follow SHEMS Procedures.
Delivery:
  • Ensure First-off inspections are done & part buy-off.
  • Conduct & administer process audits as per audit schedule.
  • Ensure Part Quality is to required Quality Standards and raise all quality related concerns.
  • Measurement reports and ensure TQM.
Attendance:
  • Responsible for own personal attendance to ensure it is 98% on an ongoing basis.
  • Submit accurate time sheets monthly.
General:
  • Adhere to the escalation process.
  • Carry out any reasonable instructions.
  • Ensure that the TQM boards are Updated & maintained.
  • Responsible for measuring instruments in your area.
Job Requirements: 
  • Suitably Qualified
  • Senior Certificate
  • 2-3 years experience
  • Use of measuring equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Quality Control Systems within the Automotive Industry
  • Metal finishing/coating experience
